Job Title Laborer: General (LABOR) / Laborers and Helpers


Role Description:

General laborer is responsible for working as part of a crew and promptly carrying out tasks as they are assigned by the supervisor. This is a versatile role which may consist of many different scopes of work including underground and overhead electrical, signing, tolling, ITS, maintenance of traffic, grading, and earthwork.

Responsibilities:

  • General Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Setting forms, carrying material, stripping forms, placing concrete, cleaning tools/forms/site. Assisting foremen and carpenters.
  • Following all company safety protocols and procedures
  • Abide by company cell phone use policy at all times while working
  • Display working knowledge of New Employee Tool List (Laborer). Employees are expected to care for and maintain tools as needed to preserve a complete toolset at all times.
  • Employees shall conduct themself in a positive and respectful manner when interacting with the client, the public, and within the company.
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Current valid Driver’s License (Required)
  • Punctuality
  • Ability to work as part of a team to complete a given task
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varied climates

Working Environment:

Work is performed in primarily outdoor environments with constant exposure to noise, dust, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, moving objects, sharp edges, and temperature extremes
