Job description

Watts Electric Company is an electrical contractor doing business in Nebraska and the surrounding states for more than 40 years. We tackle a diversified electrical scope of work including airports, roadway lighting, signing, and underground utility construction. Position Summary

As an electrical apprentice you will be responsible for assembling, assisting, and completing various tasks or objects to ensure that results will be the best quality. 


Essential Job Functions

  • Assemble signal arms and fixtures on power poles prior to them being set.
  • Assist with setting poles, structures, and power foundations.
  • Shovel rock, tamp poles, and tamp trenches.
  • Glue pipe and pull wire in conduit.
  • Tying of steel cages.
  • Assist in concrete pours and finishing.
  • Load, unload, and haul materials and equipment.
  • All other duties as assigned.

    Physical Demands

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.     The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job included close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


    Work Environment

    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
