WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Table Games Dealer at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is a pivotal role in providing an exhilarating and memorable gaming experience for our diverse clientele. Our Table Games Dealers will operate various casino games with precision, adhering to the highest standards of customer service, gaming integrity, and entertainment value.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Game Operation:

  • Proficiently deal cards or manage gaming equipment for an array of table games, including but not limited to blackjack, poker, roulette, craps, baccarat, and more.

  • Expertly control the tempo of the game, ensuring it is engaging and equitable.

  • Guide newcomers through game rules and procedures, creating a warm and inviting gaming environment.

  • Accurately calculate and distribute winnings and payouts, offering a seamless and enjoyable gaming experience.

Customer Service:

  • Interact with guests in a courteous, professional, and personable manner, offering assistance, answering inquiries, and going above and beyond to ensure their comfort and satisfaction.

  • Effectively handle player disputes or rule infractions with tact and diplomacy, fostering positive guest experiences.

Game Security:

  • Maintain vigilant oversight of the gaming table to detect any signs of cheating, irregularities, or suspicious activities.

  • Swiftly report any concerns or discrepancies to the casino's security team to preserve the game's integrity and guest trust.

Compliance:

  • Meticulously adhere to all casino policies, procedures, and gaming regulations, with a particular focus on those unique to the Rio Hotel and Casino.

  • Participate in regular and advanced training sessions to remain at the forefront of rule changes and best practices, guaranteeing full compliance and exceptional performance.

Teamwork:

  • Foster seamless collaboration with fellow casino staff, including supervisors and pit bosses, to ensure the continuous and harmonious operation of the gaming floor.

Communication:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents In English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate with guests verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Successful completion of a comprehensive dealer training program or an equivalent amount of relevant experience.

  • An in-depth knowledge of the specific casino games offered at the Rio Hotel and Casino, coupled with the ability to quickly adapt to new games and rules.

  • Strong mathematical and communication skills.

  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills, with an unwavering commitment to exceeding guest expectations.

  • The capacity to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure gaming environment.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and unfailing accuracy in cash handling.

  • Must meet the age requirement for gaming employees in Las Vegas and hold any required gaming licenses or permits.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.

  • Must regularly lift and/move up 25 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This role may entail exposure to cigarette smoke, high-volume background noise, and varying shift schedules, including evening and late-night hours. It also necessitates prolonged periods of standing to facilitate games and engage with patrons.
