MD/DO Gastroenterology Hospitalist – UNC Rex

UNC REX Digestive Healthcare has been providing exceptionally high-quality gastroenterology care to patients in the Raleigh area for more than 50 years. It is one of the most advanced gastroenterology practices in Raleigh and throughout the Wake County area.

UNC REX Digestive is seeking GI Hospitalists to join their team.

  • General GI, EUS/ERCP beneficial but not required
  • Affiliated cancer center and high-quality support with onsite pathology, surgery, radiology and full-time admitting general medicine admitting service
  • Consultation only
  • Full time APP coverage to perform all consultations and daily follow up and procedure scheduling.
  • Physicians to supervise APPs and perform procedures in the endoscopy area
  • Endoscopy Suites – 5
  • Total Procedures – 8-12 daily

Practice Highlights

  • Large community hospital in Raleigh, NC
  • Typical 3-week schedule:
    • 7 days of General GI inpatient coverage with APP support
    • 5 days of general GI procedures
    • One week off
    • 1:4 call, 1:4 weekend coverage
    • No outpatient responsibilities
    • Approximately 3-4 months off per year
