What does an ultrasound technician do?

An ultrasound technician, also known as a diagnostic medical sonographer, operates special imaging equipment to create images of structures inside the body. They work with physicians to help diagnose and monitor medical conditions by capturing images of organs, tissues, or blood flow. Ultrasound technicians interact closely with patients, explain procedures, and ensure the quality of the images produced for accurate diagnosis.
