Role Description The Advanced Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Lake Charles, LA. This role is responsible for performing advanced phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) and related non-destructive examinations on piping, structural components, and other assets in accordance with applicable codes, client procedures, and company standards. Day-to-day activities include setting up and calibrating equipment, interpreting and documenting test results, preparing detailed inspection reports, and communicating findings to project managers, clients, and Level III personnel. The technician collaborates closely with other inspection staff and site personnel to plan work scopes, ensure safe operations, and meet project deadlines. The role also includes maintaining equipment, adhering to safety and quality programs, and participating in ongoing training to stay current with evolving NDT technologies and practices.

Qualifications

  • Non-destructive testing expertise, including advanced phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) experience and strong understanding of NDE/NDT principles.
  • Technical proficiency with ultrasonic testing equipment, data acquisition software, calibration techniques, and interpretation of complex indications.
