Job description

Position: UI5 Developer

Location: San Antonio, TX  (5 days onsite) 

Duration: 6 month contract (potential to extend)

Interview: 30 minute video iv, then 60 minute onsite 

Duration: 6 month (can extend)

Role Overview

We are seeking a UI5 Developer for a contract role based in San Antonio, Texas. This position requires working on-site for a minimum of five days per week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building custom applications within an S/4 HANA environment. This role requires the ability to work independently, taking high-level functional designs to create robust solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build custom UI5 applications with a focus on JavaScript, not Fiori development.
  • Work within an S/4 HANA environment to develop and deploy solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical and functional teams to design and analyze solutions.
  • Develop modularized ABAP code and handle full lifecycle custom development, including enhancements.
  • Resolve system defects identified during the testing phase.
  • Adhere to development standards and follow the change management process for application deployment.
  • Work independently to deliver on project priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience building custom applications with SAP UI5, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
  • Proficiency with Business Application Studio (BAS).
  • Experience working in an S/4 HANA environment.
  • Strong understanding of modularized ABAP code.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and possess strong communication skills.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming, MVC, and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience with Gateway Services, OData, and CDS views.
  • Experience with Fiori Elements.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Git for version control.
  • Familiarity with new S/4HANA coding syntax and best practices.

Experience extending and integrating new solutions with pre-existing custom solutions.
