Job Description
Clinical Laboratory Clerk (Evening Shift)
Support essential lab operations and patient care behind the scenes and at the bedside.
We're looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Clinical Laboratory Clerk to support the day-to-day clerical and phlebotomy functions of our dynamic Clinical Laboratory team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that lab services run smoothly and efficiently for patients and providers alike.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of clerical tasks including logging in specimens, processing samples for reference labs, charting, filing, answering phones, and handling specimen pickup and delivery.
  • Provide high-quality phlebotomy services for outpatients (first shift only).
  • Greet and assist patients and visitors, providing clear and compassionate communication.
  • Maintain orderly and accurate records while managing priorities under direct supervision.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff and contribute to an efficient and well-organized work environment.

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work with patients of all ages, understanding developmental and comfort needs.
  • Written communication skills for taking clear, accurate messages.
  • Computer skills with the ability to navigate a Windows-based environment.
  • Solid organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to: Availability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of coursework in medical terminology.
  • Previous phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting.
