Salary range: The salary range for this position is $253,497 to $319,208. The posted UC salary scales set minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See the Professorial Series (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, Ladder Rank) and Professor of Teaching Series - Health Sciences Compensation Plan. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position description

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of California, Irvine anticipates openings for PM&R specialist positions. The positions will be at the level of the Health Sciences Clinical Professor (Assistant & Associate rank) depending upon the candidate's qualifications.

Criteria for the Professor in the Health Sciences Series:
Health Sciences Clinical Professor series faculty engage in scholarly or creative activities which derive from and support their primary responsibilities in clinical teaching, professional and service activities.
Clinicians interested in pursuing an academic career in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialty will be given the opportunity to grow in a dynamic department.
Our team includes a group of innovative, forward-thinking individuals with high standards of teaching, research, and patient care. The department provides care in UCI Health clinical locations. The team provides inpatient consultation services and ambulatory care services for a diverse population in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation clinics at UCI Health and affiliated hospitals. The clinician will also be a part of the larger general rehabilitation team caring for patients with a variety of rehab diagnoses in a variety of settings. This position is part of in-patient support for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the UCIH - Irvine Rehabilitation Hospital, with clinical opportunities that may expand to 1 to 2 outpatient clinics at UCI Health locations.
