Your Role on the Team: Job duties include, but are not limited to: coordinate volunteer assignments, handle check-ins and call-outs, and adjust shift coverage to meet operational needs. Respond promptly to incoming phone calls and emails from volunteers, sending regular shift reminders and program updates. Process applications, run background checks, collect signed waivers, and schedule new volunteer orientation sessions. Create visual flyers and digital outreach content using basic design tools to support recruitment campaigns. Update standard operating procedures, track volunteer service hours, and maintain organized digital filing systems.

What It Takes to be Successful: Required: previous experience in administrative support, customer service, or office administration. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for managing emails, phone calls, and public interactions. Proven multi-tasking skills with high accuracy in data entry, scheduling, and file management. Professional experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace. Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English. Preferred: familiarity with volunteer management software. Experience using tools like Canva to design promotional flyers and social media graphics. Professional fluency in Spanish to support and communicate with local community members. Previous experience assisting with operational documentation, manuals, or standard operating procedures.

The majority of our temporary positions are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. We also have occasional part-time, weekend, and evening hours available, depending on the assignment.
