Job description

Summary

The UAV Assembler is responsible for assembling, integrating, and performing final assembly of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and their avionics systems in compliance with written standard operating procedures (SOPs). This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality UAVs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other Duties not listed may be assigned.

  • Assembly Operations:
    • Perform hands-on assembly of UAV systems and subsystems, including avionics, motors, airframes, sensors, and other components as per SOPs and industry standards.
    • Follow detailed written instructions, diagrams, and technical drawings to complete assembly tasks.
  • Avionics Integration:
    • Assemble and integrate avionics hardware, including wiring, circuit boards, flight controllers, power systems, and other electronic components.
  • Final Assembly:
    • Perform final assembly of UAVs, ensuring accurate alignment, component fitment, and functionality as per specifications.
    • Conduct firmware installation and system calibrations as required.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Inspect assembled components and systems for defects or issues.
    • Use precision tools and equipment to verify that all assemblies meet engineering and quality standards.
    • Document completed steps and maintain accurate records in accordance with company protocols.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and procedures while handling tools, equipment, and UAV components.
    • Ensure compliance with all internal and regulatory requirements for UAV manufacturing.
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager

Education and/or Experience

  • Basic to intermediate computer skills are necessary.
  • Prefer knowledge of drone technology.

Essential Skills:

  • Possess superior time management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to interface cooperatively with departmental team members and clients.
  • Needs strong safety and work ethic and be able to recognize the importance of properly handling hazardous materials, chemicals, toots, etc.

  • Needs the ability to think in 3D.
  • Must have strong concentration skills.

Working Conditions
