SUMMARY:

This position is part of the Warehouse Finance team and is responsible for providing full-service accounting support for the Tyson Warehousing operations team. Specific responsibilities include balance sheet reconciliations, quarterly inventory audits, facilitating budget preparation, monthly P&L reporting and scorecard tracking. Additional responsibilities include month-end general ledger analysis reporting, weekly margin variance analysis and reporting as well as quarterly balance sheet reconciliations. This position is a key contact and partner with multiple levels of operations management, including Directors, Sr Directors, VP and SVP. This position works with internal and external stakeholders and various corporate functions such as tax, payroll, external financial reporting, technical accounting, controls and enablement finance. A successful candidate will need to be pro-active, have strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work in a high-pressure team environment, handle multiple tasks and react quickly to problems and issues. Further, building and maintaining effective working relationships with various levels in the organization and being a champion of Tyson's mission, core values, and team behaviors are critical.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Requires a Bachelors degree in an academic field directly related to the job being filled. Accounting degree preferred. 12 hours minimum accounting required.

Experience: 3 plus years accounting experience.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of SAP and data base systems.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Special Skills: Strong critical thinking skills.
