Job description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks for UI and API testing using Java and TypeScript with tools such as Playwright, Selenium, REST-assured, or Karate.
  • Develop automated validation for microservices, REST APIs, authentication/authorization flows, and role-based access controls.
  • Perform database validation using SQL across relational and NoSQL databases to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accurate state transitions.
  • Test event-driven architectures and message-based integrations using Kafka or similar streaming technologies.
  • Create automation for resiliency scenarios including retries, failure recovery, idempotency, and system fault handling.
  • Execute performance and load testing to validate system scalability under peak conditions.
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
  • Analyze logs, monitoring data, and system telemetry using tools such as CloudWatch, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and ELK/EFK to troubleshoot issues.
  • Partner with engineering teams to define quality standards, automation strategies, and release quality gates.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote automation best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of software testing experience with 5+ years focused on enterprise test automation.
  • Strong hands-on programming experience in Java and TypeScript.
  • Experience testing microservices architectures, APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with backend/data validation.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
