  • Number of Beds: Hospital has 125 beds, unit is not an inpatient department
  • Patient Ratios: N/A
  • Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): Staffed by one day tech
  • Type of equipment: Phillips EPIQ CV 30
  • Documentation system: Meditech, Merge
  • Scheduling requirements: Ability to work
  • Floating policy: N/A
  • Patient Experience requirements: Required experience scanning adults from the ER, inpatient floors, and outpatient scheduled patients.

Hiring profile

Requested Skill Set:

  • Must have: Ability to work independently without additional techs or supervisor on site. Experienced tech.
  • Advanced skills needed: Ability to scan newborns for failed CCHD screenings.
  • Procedures performed on unit: Cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) procedures such as transthoracic, stress, transesophageal, intra-operative echocardiograms within the inpatient, outpatient, or intraoperative settings.
  • Certifications Required: Basic Cardiac Life Support, (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer
