Catering to a broad spectrum of technology and client requirements, 1200+ skilled technicians deliver over 1000 projects annually across data center markets in the US and APAC. DL has proven success in the deployment of next-generation infrastructure technologies across the data center lifecycle; from design & planning, install & build through Day 2 maintenance, technology upgrades & retrofits, including delivering the latest wave of AI/ML platforms.
POSITION: Cable Technician - Technician II
About the Role:
As a Technician II, you will be a vital contributor to the robust operation of our Data Center, focusing on the meticulous installation, decommissioning, and maintenance of network and cabling infrastructure. This role demands a commitment to delivering sustainable, repeatable solutions, consistently prioritizing quality workmanship, safety, and data center cleanliness. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, provide structured project feedback, and utilize your expertise in telecom tools, wiring schemes, cable pulling, termination, and network patching. Ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of copper and fiber cable testing, troubleshooting, and splicing, along with experience in MDF/IDF closets and reading blueprints, ensuring the continuous efficiency and reliability of our critical infrastructure.
What You'll Do:
  • Installation/decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment.
  • Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement.
  • Provide structured feedback on project progress to Stakeholders.
  • Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain Data Center cleanliness.
  • Follow all production, safety and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with various Stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
  • Reading and comprehending blueprints and building documentation/redline work.
  • Broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies.

What You Need:
  • Current LEA or LEB license required. Active licensure must be maintained throughout employment.
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Knowledge and use of basic telecom hand tools.
  • Accept responsibility of outcome of work performed.
  • Must understand customer service.
  • Clear understanding of job safety requirements.
  • Be able to read and understand job floor plan.
  • Should be familiar on wiring schemes and wiring testing.
  • Should be able to pull all types of low voltage cable.
  • Should understand and be capable in performing field terminations and labeling.
  • Capable of maintaining orderly paperwork, capable of running midsize projects and service jobs.
  • Possess skill to layout MDF and IDF closets, be able to dress all types of cable and perform all types of terminations.
  • Capable of working in Data Centers.
  • Shall be able to work on analog, DSL and be able to extend T1 lines.
  • BE able to patch network equipment.
  • Basic understanding of both copper and fiber cable testing and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshooting of copper and fiber cables
  • Work on analog lines and extend T1 connections
  • Possess skills to layout MDF and IDF closets
  • Direct/supervise others to perform tasks
  • Decommission fiber trunks and jumpers
  • Troubleshoot fiber circuits (Versiv OLTS, OTDR)
  • Perform fiber splicing (OSP, ISP, SM, MM)
  • Conduct and supervise Service Swaps
  • Perform multiple pair copper splicing.
  • Follow infrastructure design and install
