Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Two Way Radio Systems Technician and become a vital part of ensuring seamless communication across critical operations. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing two-way radio communication systems and associated telecommunications infrastructure. Your expertise will help keep our clients connected and operational, delivering reliable voice and data solutions in diverse environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, develop your technical skills, and provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced setting.


Duties

  • Install, configure, and test two-way radio communication systems, including radio frequency (RF) testing and equipment setup.
  • Troubleshoot and repair radio equipment, telecommunications systems, and network wiring using diagnostic tools and technical proficiency.
  • Conduct site surveys using schematics, network diagrams, and telecommunication testing equipment to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Maintain detailed records of system configurations, maintenance activities, and incident reports for quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess their communication needs, providing expert advice on system upgrades or modifications.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters, and computer networking equipment to complete installations and repairs.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a service technician or in telecommunications systems installation and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, LAN/WAN architecture, VoIP systems, and network cabling such as Cat5 and Cat6.
  • Familiarity with telecommunication equipment such as Motorola, Kenwood, Zetron, Avtec, Mindshare systems.
  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals related to radio frequency (RF) testing and telecommunications testing equipment.
  • Skilled in using diagnostic tools for equipment troubleshooting across electrical systems (AC/DC), fiber optics, and network hardware.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
