As part of the Contract Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in designing, managing, and optimizing solutions that keep goods moving efficiently. The purpose of this job is to serve as a role model for Lean Six Sigma knowledge and efficient execution of projects. The Lean Six Sigma
Black Belt is responsible for promoting a culture of continuous improvement across multiple sites with focus on autmation in logistics. The
successful candidate is accountable for fostering a culture of ongoing improvement at KN Contract Logistics locations and is responsible
for driving continuous improvement by demonstrating and applying Lean Six Sigma (LSS) principles and methodology across these sites.
The successful candidate will also mentor and coach Yellow and Green Belts to LSS certification.

How you create impact


1. Certifying and recertifying sites annually to ensure adherence to Lean Six Sigma principles and best practices.
2. Leading and facilitating Deep Dive Value Stream Analysis events to identify and address inefficiencies in processes and recommend innovation and automation logistic solutions.
3. Monitoring and leading Kaizens to drive efficiency and performance improvements.
4. Delivering training on YB/GB and KNExcellence to ensure common understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles.
5. Coaching and mentoring site Yellow and Green Belts for skill development and career advancement.
6. Executing LSS projects for performance improvement and cost savings.
7. Validating savings achieved through Lean Six Sigma initiatives.

8. Deploying KN Excellence site roadmaps for continuous improvement efforts.
9. Leading and managing a team of Lean Six Sigma practitioners.

10. Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data for projects that include automation.
11. Communicating project progress and results to stakeholders.
12. Identifying areas for process improvement and making recommendations that include automation.
13. Staying current with automation and innovation industry trends and best practices in the logistics industry
14. Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
15. Driving a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

What we would like you to bring

A strong understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools

Experience in contract logistics and 3PL processes, with knowledge of industrial and automated logistics systems, preferred

Project management experience, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams

Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; Demonstrated proficiency in facilitating Value Stream Mapping (VSM).


In addition to a bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering the successful candidate have;

A minimum of 0-2 years of experience as a Lean Six Sigma Black/Green Belt, with 2-5 years of experience being the preferred benchmark

A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in contract logistics, with candidates having 5-10 years of experience being given preference

A minimum of 0-2 years of experience in a project management, quality management, process improvement, or a related field, with candidates having 5-10 years of experience being
given preference

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.


A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from a recognized university is preferred, with a focus on Industrial Engineering being
desirable.


Proficiency in Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify and eliminate process waste

Strong coaching and mentoring abilities for developing Yellow and Green Belts, as well as direct reports for career growth and performance

Excellent networking and stakeholder management skills for aligning continuous improvement goals

Expertise in change management to lead and implement changes effectively.

Ability to lead and facilitate complex Lean events, including Kaizens and continuous improvement projects.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address inefficiencies and non-value-added activities.

Project management skills to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.

Effective communication and presentation skills for various organizational levels in KN as well as Stakeholders.

Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology and certification as a Lean Six Sigma Black/Green Belt
