Job Description
Job Title: Maintenance Technician II
Job Summary: . Maintenance Technician II is a mid-level role responsible for independently performing maintenance and repair of CNC machinery and facility systems. Handles preventative maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and minor fabrication tasks. Requires solid mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while supporting junior technicians as needed.
Responsibility:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on CNC machinery including turning centers, dial machines, and transfer systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues in gearboxes, spindles, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems using diagrams and precision instruments.
  • Dismantle and replace defective parts using hoists, cranes, and hand or power tools.
  • Fabricate or repair components using machine shop tools and welding equipment.
  • Independently complete preventative maintenance tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; place orders as needed.
  • Operate computer systems to monitor and control mechanical and utility systems.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and provide technical support.
  • Perform general facility repairs and assist with building upkeep.
  • Follow safety protocols and contribute to a clean, hazard-free work environment.
  • May assist in training and mentoring Level I technicians.

Academic/Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or GED (required)
Associate degree or technical diploma in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field (preferred)
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of formal degrees or certifications.
Required Skills/Experience:
2-5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Solid hands-on experience with CNC machinery and facility maintenance.
Possess advanced knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical concepts.
Capable of performing preventative maintenance independently
Can troubleshoot and repair common mechanical issues
Familiar with using precision instruments and diagnostic tools
May assist in training Level I technicians
Comfortable documenting maintenance activities and using maintenance software
