Job Summary:
Twitch is the worldโ€™s biggest live streaming service, and they are seeking an engineering manager to lead their Payments team. This role involves overseeing the development of payment infrastructure and ensuring accurate transaction processing while collaborating with various cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Lead a team of engineers to design, build, and operate full-stack web applications that process millions of transactions daily
โ€ข Own your team's delivery end-to-end: roadmap planning, execution, and operational excellence
โ€ข Grow senior engineers in their careers: coach, challenge, and create opportunities for promotion
โ€ข Make hands-on architectural decisions: you'll be in design reviews, weighing tradeoffs on vendor integrations, system resilience, and data accuracy
โ€ข Partner cross-functionally with product, finance, and compliance to shape what we build and why
โ€ข Navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities while keeping your team focused and energized
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager leading teams of 5+
โ€ข 5+ years of experience in software development
โ€ข Experience with web services, cloud infrastructure, and system design
โ€ข Track record of hiring, retaining, and growing engineering talent
โ€ข Experience operating consumer-facing web applications with high reliability requirements
