As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time TWIC Driver in Deer Park, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

How This Role Works:

  • Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification steps, and security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, log arrivals and departures, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to site leadership according to established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities and communicating details to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, gates, checkpoints, and perimeter locations to help identify security-related concerns, access control issues, and/or operational irregularities.
  • Maintain accurate records of visitor management activity, deliveries, key or credential issuance, and daily post events while following Allied Universal standards and site instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
