Overview:

ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT is the leading entertainment news video creator, and we are looking for a vertical video producer/editor to join our team. In this role, youโ€™ll create scroll-stopping vertical videos that shape how our audience of 30M+ experiences the biggest stories in entertainment.

The ideal candidate will be extremely online, knowing the latest entertainment news headlines and niche internet humor, while also appreciating a good ET Vault throwback. You thrive in a dynamic environment, producing 10โ€“20 videos weekly in collaboration with a dynamic team. Balancing creativity with the trusted tone of ET, your work will captivate and engage our digital audience while expanding our brandโ€™s reach and influence.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Pitch, produce, and edit vertical videos for distribution across ET's digital platforms, including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
  • Leverage storytelling techniques and platform-specific nuances to create high-impact videos that resonate with ETโ€™s digital audience.
  • Review incoming footage from original shoots and select breakout interview moments.
  • Dig into ETโ€™s extensive vault to uncover iconic interviews and resurface them as fresh, nostalgic content for a new audience.
  • Work with Social Leads to ensure the finished product is legally and creatively approved and consistent with all brand style guidelines.
  • Craft engaging copy for each post, tailored to each platformโ€™s audience, voice, and trending formats.
  • Monitor and interpret analytics, using performance insights to refine pitches, edits, and formats, spearheading continual improvement and audience growth.
  • Assist in planning and coordination for special event coverage.
  • May include occasional schedule shifts around big events.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience producing and editing engaging digital video content, ideally for large, digital-first audiences.
  • Highly skilled & experienced in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of social video publishing and platform-specific analytics, with the ability to optimize content for all platforms.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of journalistic standards and ethics, with a demonstrated commitment to accuracy, fairness, proper sourcing, and editorial integrity.
  • Passion for pop culture and a competitive, detail-oriented mindset that thrives in a dynamic environment requiring speed and shifting priorities.
  • Exemplary storytelling skills, with the ability to present complex narratives in engaging, bite-sized formats tailored to social audiences.
  • Comfortable with receiving feedback on both line edits and overall structural changes to the story.

Hiring Salary Range: $40.87 - 43.3.The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
