Executive Producer News Position Overview:

WINK News-Southwest Florida’s News leader is seeking an experienced Executive Producer to help lead our nightside team. You will be responsible for overseeing the creation of high-quality news content, driving the editorial direction of our newscast while also overseeing producers.

Responsibilities:
  • Editorial Leadership
    • Develop and implement the overall editorial vision and strategy for our news programs.
    • Stay informed about current events, news trends, and audience preferences to guide decision-making.
    • Determine the news stories to cover, prioritize coverage, and allocate resources effectively.
    • Collaborate with editors, reporters, and news anchors to shape story ideas and enhance their delivery.
  • News Production Management
    • Oversee the entire news production process, including planning, story development, scripting, and on-air presentation.
    • Coordinate with various departments, such as news gathering, research, and technical teams, to ensure seamless execution of news programs.
    • Review and approve scripts, graphics, videos, and other visual elements for broadcast.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead and inspire a team of news professionals, including producers, editors, writers, and production staff.
