What does a TV makeup artist do?

A TV makeup artist is responsible for applying makeup to on-screen talent, ensuring they look their best under studio lighting and high-definition cameras. They work closely with directors, producers, and costume departments to create appropriate looks for different characters and settings. Their work includes basic makeup application, special effects makeup, and sometimes hairstyling. Attention to detail and the ability to work quickly under pressure are essential skills for this role.
