Job description
We are looking for a unicorn. We need someone who can anchor our evening newscasts, produce those newscasts, create content for our digital platforms and CTV streaming channel, and mentor our young staff of reporters. As news teams get small, staff members are having to take on additional responsibilities. Those Jack-of-All-Trades will be the journalists that carry our industry into the future. It will make you more valuable to all future employers. We're an aggressive news organization that owns breaking news in the local market.
That's the hard part. What's in it for you? You'll be living and working in one of the most beautiful places in the country. People pay thousands of dollars a week to vacation here in Panama City, Florida. The people who live here are friendly, welcoming and hospitable. If you get involved in the community, they will embrace you as one of their own. You'll be working with a young, energetic staff of reporters, most fresh out of college and working in their first newsroom. There are also seasoned veterans on the staff who make up the core leadership of the newsroom.
