KSNV Fall News Intern
Step inside the newsroom where stories break, voices matter, and information moves at the speed of now.
We're looking for a passionate, curious, and driven News Intern to join our team for Fall 2026. As part of a forward-thinking media organization, you won't just observe-you'll actively contribute to the storytelling that informs and connects our community across platforms.
Sinclair's newest news concept is ARC: Authentic, Relevant, and Community focused news. ARC is a unique concept that was created to reach the modern viewer with updated style, graphics, and music. We have a cast that not only explain news happening today, but also have a conversation about the news and what is going on across the country and in your local community. Our goal is to help viewers truly feel the story, connecting their emotions to our news conversation. ARC is currently in many of our markets across the country and actively expanding.
From breaking news to digital-first storytelling, this is your opportunity to experience what modern journalism really looks like.
What You'll Do
This is a fast-paced, real newsroom-no two days are the same.
  • Create & Contribute: Assist in researching, writing, and producing news stories for broadcast and digital platforms
  • Be Where the Action Is: Work alongside reporters, anchors, producers, and photographers-both in the newsroom and out in the field
  • Pitch Ideas: Bring fresh story ideas to the table and help shape coverage that matters to our audience
  • Get Hands-On: Learn how to shoot video, frame compelling visuals, and understand what makes a story stand out
  • Behind the Scenes: Gain exposure to control room operations and how live broadcasts come together in real time

To be considered, candidates must:
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or a recent graduate
  • Be at least a sophomore at an accredited college/university
  • Be eligible to work in the United States
  • Be available to work on-site at KSNV in Las Vegas, NV approximately 15 hours per week for 10 weeks
  • Be able to start between August 24th - September 14th
  • Have reliable transportation (housing/relocation is not provided)
  • Be passionate about local news, storytelling, and community impact
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
