Job description

A Day in the Life of the Broadband Technician I, II or III:
  • Performs residential installs and disconnects* (data, video, phone) on customer premises according to organizational standards and specs

  • Provide a positive customer experience by ensuring/recording correct RF and signal levels within specifications before completion, thereby reducing the possibility of repeat phone calls and truck rolls due to errors

  • Maintain appropriate levels of communication with leadership and dispatch, ensuring a highly productive route while sustaining performance metrics, safety and time management.

  • Provide customer education in the form of subject-matter expertise, focusing on both new/existing products and services, along with potential upsell opportunities on products and services that may increase customer satisfaction

  • Operate company vehicle in safe and responsible manner

  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience: 0 (Entry Level)

  • Maintain satisfactory driving record and have a valid driver's license

  • Knowledge of Ladder; Hand or Power Tools

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs

  • Work performed in both climate‑controlled and non‑climate‑controlled environments, with potential exposure to heat, cold, dust, damp conditions, uneven surfaces, heights, and moving vehicles

  • Prolonged standing, walking, sitting, and driving required

  • Ability to safely climb and work from ladders for extended periods of time

  • Frequent reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs and ladders, and using hands above and below shoulder level

  • Ability to bend, twist, kneel, squat, crawl, and maintain various body positions and perform fine motor tasks, forceful gripping, and limited keyboarding

The base pay in Washington for this position is $20.00 - $30.87 per hour, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities. It is specific to Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.
  • Broadband Technician I: $20.00 - $28.00

  • Broadband Technician II: $21.00 - $29.40

  • Broadband Technician III: $22.05 - $30.87
