Job Summary/Description:
Do you have a folder full of FOIA requests and a passion for digging where others won't? Are you the kind of reporter who sees a spreadsheet not as a chore, but as a roadmap to a massive story? We're looking for an Investigative Reporter in Cleveland who is ready to join an aggressive team and do the work that actually matters-holding the powerful accountable and uncovering the stories that shape our community.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
  • Hold the powerful accountable: Use your investigative instincts to uncover corruption, waste, and injustice, telling stories that demand change in Cleveland.
  • Master the data: Dive deep into spreadsheets and public records to find the "smoking gun" that others miss, turning complex data into compelling, human-centric narratives.
  • Build sources: Develop and maintain a deep network of sources that gives us the inside track on the stories that matter most.
  • Create for every screen: Produce high-impact content across all platforms, from traditional broadcast pieces and digital shorts to long-form documentaries and podcasts.
  • Provide the "Why": Jump into breaking news situations to provide the deeper context and investigative "meat" that explains not just what happened, but why it happened.

Qualification/Requirements:
• Minimum two (2) years of broadcast investigative reporting experience in a small to medium TV market.
• Must be able to create content for all platforms.
• Degree in journalism or related field is preferred.
• Valid driver's license is required..
