Job description

Adecco is assisting a local client in Colton, CA with hiring experienced Material Handler / Forklift Operators for a temp-to-hire opportunity .

This position is a great fit for candidates who have forklift experience but are also comfortable performing hands-on warehouse work. This is not a forklift-only position. Associates will be expected to assist with loading, unloading, palletizing, material handling, and other warehouse duties throughout the shift.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday

Start time: Must have flexibility to start between approximately 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM , based on daily operational needs

Start times may vary and are typically communicated in advance

Occasional Saturday work may be required

Temp-to-hire opportunity

Responsibilities

Operate a Pacer forklift along with either a Cherry Picker/Order Picker or Turret forklift

Load and unload tires and materials

Build and move pallets throughout the warehouse

Perform case picking and put-away

Palletize and shrink-wrap product

Move materials throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently

Perform general warehouse and material-handling duties when not operating equipment

Qualifications

Pacer forklift experience required

Experience operating either a Cherry Picker/Order Picker or Turret forklift

Recent forklift/material-handling experience preferred

Must be able to successfully demonstrate forklift skills during the clientโ€™s onsite assessment

Must be comfortable performing physical warehouse work in addition to operating a forklift

Ability to repeatedly lift and handle tires and materials throughout the workday

Must have reliable attendance and dependable transportation

Must have the flexibility to accommodate changing start times

This is a physically active warehouse environment involving tires . Candidates should be comfortable with:

Loading and unloading product from trailers

Handling tires throughout the shift

Working both on and off the forklift

Standing, lifting, bending, palletizing, and moving product

The normal smell associated with a tire warehouse
