Job Overview:ย RCSI is seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead field crews on solar and steel construction projects across California. In this role, you'll supervise and perform high-quality concrete work, including footings, foundations, sidewalks, and large pours, while ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to project schedules. The ideal candidate is a skilled leader with hands-on expertise in commercial concrete construction, a passion for renewable energy, and the ability to mentor and motivate teams.

Founded by Drew Lippert, RCSI provides turn-key solutions for solar companies, EPC firms, and energy developers. Our mission is to deliver innovative, safe, and high-quality construction for solar energy projects throughout California.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Crew Leadership: Supervise and direct concrete crews to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Concrete Installation: Oversee all phases of concrete work, including reading and executing project plans, formwork, pouring foundations, flatwork, sidewalks, and large pours.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Work closely with project managers, steel, and electrical teams to maintain timelines and coordinate site activities.
  • Form Building & Foundations: Ensure forms, footings, and foundations are properly set up and inspected prior to pours.
  • Problem Solving: Identify challenges and provide practical solutions to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Quality Control: Inspect all phases of work to confirm compliance with project specifications and codes.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety policies and conduct regular safety meetings to maintain a safe jobsite.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate daily reports, crew hours, and project updates.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years in commercial concrete construction with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or foreman role.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of concrete installation methods, including grading, formwork, pouring, and finishing.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage crews, delegate tasks, and train team members.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively between field crews, subcontractors, and project managers.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to resolve on-site issues quickly and effectively.
  • Equipment Proficiency: Skilled in operating construction equipment such as telehandlers, skid steers, man lifts, and scissor lifts.
  • Travel Availability: Willingness to travel for projects, working out of town on a 4x10 schedule (Monday to Thursday) with overnight stays as needed.
