Job Description
Provide pest control on turf, hotel rooms, and restaurants and in all areas maintained by Westgate. Mix/apply pesticides, or insecticides through sprays, dusts, vapors, soil incorporation or chemical application on trees, shrubs, lawns, or botanical crops.
As Pest Control Technician, you will:.
  • Maintain good healthy turf and ornamentals by spraying unwanted pests
  • Spray turf and ornamentals with herbicides, insecticides and fungicides using several different methods including but not limited to; boom spraying, flood jet, wand and drench spraying
  • Fill sprayer tanks with water and chemicals, according to formula
  • Mix pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides for application to trees, shrubs, lawns, or botanical crops
  • Cover areas to specified depths with pesticides, applying knowledge of weather conditions, droplet sizes, elevation-to-distance ratios, and obstructions
  • Lift, push, and swing nozzles, hoses, and tubes in order to direct spray over designated areas
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadership

Qualifications
  • One to two years related experience
  • Commercial Pesticides License
  • High school diploma OR GED required
  • Written and verbal communication in English is expected
  • Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license to drive company golf carts
  • Strong communication skills required to excel in interactions with guests and colleagues
  • Ability to be versatile, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
  • Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States
