Job description

As a Golf Equipment Operator, you will support daily golf course maintenance operations within our Golf Division. This role is responsible for operating specialized turf and grounds equipment to maintain course conditions at a high standard of playability and appearance. The ideal candidate has experience operating equipment on golf courses or similar environments and takes pride in precision, safety, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate golf course maintenance equipment such as riding mowers, reel mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, turf vacs, skip-loaders, aerifiers, sprayers, and specialty turf equipment
  • Perform daily mowing of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and surrounds as assigned
  • Assist with course maintenance activities including bunker maintenance, debris removal, edging, and general grounds care
  • Monitor turf conditions and report issues such as disease, stress, or damage to supervisors
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance such as cleaning, fueling, and blade checks
  • Follow daily work schedules, mowing patterns, and course setup instructions
  • Adhere to all safety policies, equipment guidelines, and course rules
  • Support tournament setup, special events, and seasonal course preparation
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas, equipment storage, and maintenance zones
  • Performing other tasks as assigned

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2+ years of experience operating landscape or turf maintenance equipment
  • Ability to safely operate mowing and utility equipment
  • Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency in work quality
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Reliable transportation

Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Experience working on golf courses, athletic fields, or high-end turf environments
  • Familiarity with reel mowing techniques and turf management standards
  • Experience preparing courses for tournaments or special events
  • Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and turf health indicators
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Valid Florida Driver's License and the ability to pass an MVR check
