Senior Lawn Care TechnicianLawn Doctor of Baldwin and Mobile Counties is hiring an experienced Lawn Care Technician to join our growing team.
This position is ideal for a dependable lawn care professional who can manage a daily route, diagnose common turf problems, communicate with customers, and apply treatments safely and accurately.
Responsibilities
  • Apply fertilizers, pre-emergent and post-emergent weed control, insect control, fungicides, and specialty lawn treatments.
  • Identify weeds, insects, diseases, irrigation issues, and cultural problems.
  • Service residential and commercial properties efficiently and professionally.
  • Communicate treatment details, lawn conditions, and recommendations to customers.
  • Complete accurate service records and required Department of Agriculture documentation.
  • Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, spreaders, sprayers, and application equipment.
  • Maintain daily product inventory and keep vehicles and equipment clean and organized.
  • Perform aeration, liquid aeration, and other specialty services.
  • Recommend additional services when appropriate.
  • Follow product labels, safety procedures, environmental standards, and company policies.
Qualifications
  • Previous professional lawn care, turf management, pest control, landscaping, or agricultural application experience.
  • Knowledge of fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, calibration, and application techniques.
  • Ability to identify common Gulf Coast turf types, weeds, insects, and diseases.
  • Experience with centipede, St. Augustine, Bermuda, or Zoysia lawns is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a daily route.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in heat and changing weather conditions.
  • Alabama OTPS certification or pesticide applicator credentials are preferred.
