Summary

The Golf Maintenance Staff is responsible for performing a variety of grounds maintenance duties to a standard set by the Golf Course Superintendent. Perform work at a moderate, constant pace, but may vary slightly depending on the demands of the job required. This position requires some weekend morning shifts.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older. Must possess a willingness to learn the industry, and a general background with some experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, nursery work, or lawn maintenance. Must be able to work with others, be punctual, and be conscientious of their work and surroundings. CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification is required and if not certified, must become certified.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Mow and trim using tractors, mowers, and trimmers.
  • Rake bunkers.
  • Shovel Sand, Gravel, Topsoil, and mulch.
  • Fill and lift water coolers.
  • Change cups.
  • Move tee markers and fill divots.
  • Hand-water turf.
  • Assist with irrigation repairs.
  • Trim trees and shrubs.
  • Fertilize and seeding of turf.
  • Clean and organize maintenance facility.
  • Participate in relevant safety training.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.
