Job description

We are seeking a forwardthinking leader to manage out turbine engineer team. As an Engineering Manager - Turbine Outage you will lead and manage the overall direction, coordination, and execution of Field Service activities for turbine projects. This role is critical in ensuring successful installation, start-up, and commissioning of steam and gas turbine systems while fostering collaboration and driving operational excellence. This position can be based in our Tinley Park, IL or Cranberry Township, PA office. 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Manage turbine start-up and commissioning activities, ensuring resources and teams are aligned for successful site operations.
  • Expand and develop Field Service installation and commissioning resources to support the growth of the turbine business.
  • Oversee personnel, equipment, and financial resources to expand the business volume and profitability of the Turbine Outage group by managing Field Service scope and change notice activities.
  • Build close relationships with Turbine retrofit customers to grow the Emerson Power & Water Solutions business volume while providing quality service and support to our customers.
  • Collaborate with regional Field Service leadership to share resources to enhance productivity and promote teamwork in the region and throughout the organization.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience in Instrumentation and Control in the Power industry
  • Demonstrated experience in resource management, risk management, and change management
  • Ability to manage multiple activities at the same time while assessing technical specifications
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Legal authorization to work in the United State - sponsorship will not be provided for this position, now or in the future
 
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • PE, PMP, or OV400 certification
  • Prior experience with Ovation systems
  • Prior experience with Field Service, Field Service scheduling, site installations, and site management
  • Prior experience with project management
  • Prior experience with turbine controls installations and commissioning

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $150,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
