The Opportunity

  • Seeking Emergency Department/Urgent Care Center physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
  • Candidates wanting to work in an academic setting with current residents desired.
  • Providers will be cross credentialed at Adventist CVN sites: Hanford, Reedley, Selma, and Tulare.
  • Vituity offers an internship program at all 4 Adventist Health Hospital locations for those inexperienced in Emergency Medicine. This Vituity internship/new grad training program is up to three months long and involves both clinical and didactic experiences to help focus on learning good, quality medicine, so you can be a safe and confident Advanced Provider.
  • Current national certification, DEA, ACLS, PALS, and BLS are required.
  • Current CA state license is a plus.

The Practice – A Four-Hospital System

Adventist Health Tulare – Tulare, California

  • Primary Stroke Center.
  • 50-bed facility with a 12-bed Emergency Department.
  • Annual volume of 36,000 with a 20% admit rate.
  • Large network with availability of multiple specialists.

Adventist Health Selma – Selma, California

  • A small, community hospital with a well-equipped ER and hardworking staff and great team culture.
  • 45-bed facility with 10 ED beds and six other patient care areas.
  • Annual volume of 45,000 with a 5% admit rate.
  • Site utilizes PA/NP’s for Rapid Medical Evaluation® (RME) to reduce wait times and increase patient satisfaction.
  • Previously granted Vituity’s Practice of the Year award.

Adventist Medical Center – Reedley, California

  • Part of the Adventist Health Central Valley Network (CVN) along with locations in Selma, Hanford, and Tulare.
  • Excellent door-to-provider and throughput times.
  • Cerner EMR and Vituity scribe support.
  • 49-bed hospital with 10 main ER beds, one procedure room, one overflow room, and two triage rooms.
  • Annual ED volume of approximately 39,000.
  • Great culture with low turnover and a supportive atmosphere.

Adventist Health Hanford – Hanford, California

  • A busy 26-bed ED, seeing roughly 150-170 patients per day.
  • 173-bed acute care rural/suburban hospital in the Central Valley.
  • Primary Stroke Center and soon-to-be STEMI Receiving Center.
  • Robust call panel, flexible scheduling, protection of care.
  • The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval and the American Heart Association’s Heart-Check mark for Advanced Primary Stroke Certification.
