Job description

Performs modifications and preventative repair maintenance on this facility, machinery, other equipment and core boxes as directed.

Installs equipment as needed. Starts up machines.

Is responsible for minor building repairs inside and out, cleaning gutter Spring and Fall, etc.

Maintain an orderly and clean maintenance shop, including personal work areas.

Is responsible for core box rigging (pattern work).

Performs routine maintenance on machines, i.e.: calibrations, check lubrication on L25, cleaning filters, maintain compressors, check oil levels, maintain auto drains, grease carriage and side clamps on L10.

Maintain, clean and repair all exhaust fans as needed.

Maintain and clean reflectors, building lights and security cameras quarterly.

Maintain tube heaters.

Maintain and repair vacuum tube filters on Laempe machines, blow out radiators, check diverter valves and chemical hoses.

Maintain Reznor, blow out filters quarterly, replace when needed.

Perform PM (Preventive Maintenance) on all machines according to work schedule.

Maintain sand conveyor, overhead doors, furnace(s) and drain at loading dock. Repair as needed.

Maintain accurate feeders, water fountain condensers and WB blades. Repair as needed

Perform hoist inspection monthly.

Maintain sand tower, loading dock and perform routine maintenance checks.

Check scrubber daily.

Check battery level in sweeper and scissor lift daily.

Maintain sand blaster cabinet.

Change exhaust diaphragm on L25 every 2 months.

Changing rubber seals on blow plates.

Job requires utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) e.g. ear plugs, safety glasses and steel toed shoes.

Maintains assigned work areas in a clean and orderly manner.

Performs other duties as assigned.
