Job description

$65K-$75K, base salary depending on experience; $10K-$15K target commission

We are seeking a driven Technical Sales individual to support our Truss Bridge product line, including Pedestrian Truss, Vehicular Girder, and Vehicular Truss systems. You will work closely with consulting engineers, government agencies, and internal sales and operations teams to guide projects from concept and bidding through manufacturing.

About the Role:

  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate new project opportunities to grow market demand.
  • Conduct regional market research, including competitive analysis and pricing trends.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events, support seminars and training sessions.
  • Develop cost estimates, and project quotes for truss bridge systems.
  • Collaborate directly with consulting engineers, city/county/state agencies, and internal sales teams within your assigned region.
  • Manage project continuity from solution development and bid phase through manufacturing handoff.
  • Serve as a technical expert, providing timely and accurate responses to client and internal inquiries.
  • Maintain ownership of all bid opportunities and pricing within the assigned territory.
  • Monitor project pipelines and ensure all opportunities are tracked and followed throughout the sales cycle.
  • Support development and defense of project specifications.
  • Initiate and review truss orders for scope, accuracy, and completeness prior to engineering release.
  • Partner with plant project managers, engineering, and production teams to ensure customer commitments are met.
  • Deliver product training to sales and marketing teams to strengthen product knowledge and positioning.
  • Collaborate with marketing to update and develop materials based on product changes and enhancements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of technical tools and participate in new product development discussions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Mangagement or a related technical degree. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Strong knowledge of the construction industry and a minimum of 2-years experience with engineered products preferred.
  • Experience in manufactured construction product sales and manufacturing experience beneficial.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, and to provide training to help others learn and develop their knowledge of the product.
  • Ability to manage and interact effectively with team members to direct work flow, assign duties and complete tasks.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
