ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Design, implement, and execute complex recurring or ad hoc reports, analyses, data, system-related, or operational tasks in accordance with departmental processes and controls.

2. Investigate and research unexplained variations in reports, data, systems, etc. Explain results of reports and research to department management and other stakeholders.

3. Develop and administer controls to ensure the integrity of departmental process. Evaluate and recommend improvements to departmental processes.

4. Assist with development of departmental documentation.

5. Serve as a consultative resource on risk reporting, data, system, or related issues. Engage with stakeholders to identify business objectives and scope solution requirements.

6. Lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; play significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives.

7. Act as a resource for teammates with less experience.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent

2. 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

3. In-depth knowledge of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with the professional discipline (e.g., information technology, project management, finance, risk management, etc.). Understanding of foundational concepts of other related professional disciplines.

4. Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and the factors that differentiate Truist and its competitors in the market.

5. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders.

6. Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges.

7. Ability to lead small projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working with large, complex datasets in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), and data validation/troubleshooting

  • Familiarity with risk management, controls, or enterprise risk frameworks (e.g., KRIs, risk reporting, or governance processes)

  • Exposure to data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI or similar) with an interest in evolving reporting capabilities

  • Proven ability to learn new tools and technologies (e.g., AI/Copilot) and apply them to improve data analysis, reporting efficiency, and insight generation
