Lead Radiation Therapist Job Description:

Excellent opportunity for an experienced, licensed Lead Radiation Therapist to join an established radiation oncology practice in SW Florida. This is a full-time, permanent position. The lead will administer radiation treatments as well as ensure a team of therapists is conducting appropriate and applicable standards and practices as prescribed by a physician in accordance with standards of practice. TrueBeam experience required. In addition, the Lead will be compliant with all regulations with the facility as it pertains to the team and as it pertains to specific guidelines, requirements, and regulations.


Responsibilities:

Leads a team of other certified therapists. Reviews patient history, physicians orders and radiation therapy treatment plan. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patients understanding and cooperation. Delivers therapy according to the treatment plan and the physicians prescription. Prepares equipment and supplies. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Leads the team of all therapists in all aspects required such as but not limited to schedules, training, and coverage.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program.
  • ARRT certification.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Experience with Varian machines including TrueBeam as well as GE Light speed CT scanner.
