Job description

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT (T) certification and 2+ years of experience for a busy outpatient radiation oncology center.
Job Details
• Outpatient radiation oncology center serving adult patients,
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday, either 9:00am-6:00pm or 11:00am-8:00pm,
• No weekend requirement,
• No on-call requirement,
• May float to sister facility as needed,
• Traveler will need to be onsite to help orient and assist with opening a new department,
• Treats conditions including benign brain tumors, prostate cancer, Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, kidney cancer, and pancreatic cancer,
• Utilizes External Beam Therapy, IMRT, SRS, and CT Simulation techniques,
• Uses TrueBeam treatment units,
• Uses Varian ARIA for record and verify system,
Job Requirements
• ARRT (T) certification required,
• BLS certification (AHA) required,
• License required if applicable,
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist,
• Experience working in a busy facility with fast-paced workflow,
• TrueBeam experience required,
• Experience with CBCT/kV/mV imaging and treatment simulation,
Additional Information
• Responsibilities include patient treatment delivery, beam modifying/positioning, and pretreatment simulation,
• Follows radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions/PPE guidelines,
• Assists with billing for treatment types and devices,
• Scrub color required: grey or steel,
• First-time travelers accepted as long as required experience and skills are met,
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per contract, with blackout periods during peak scheduling times,
• Candidates who have previously worked for the health system may not be eligible for consideration,
• Local candidates accepted within 75 miles of the facility
