US Truck Driver
Are you an experienced CDL Driver looking for a hands-on role where your skills make an impact? EMR, a global leader in metal recycling, is hiring a US Truck Driver to join our Baton Rouge, LA depot!
What You'll Do:
  • Transport materials to and from designated locations in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Pick up full containers and unloads in designated locations.
  • Secure loads according to Department of Transportation guidelines.
  • Maintain contact with Dispatch and Truck Drivers to get assignments and properly report trip numbers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:
  • Must have a valid Class A license.
  • General knowledge of State and Federal motor carrier regulations.
  • General knowledge of mechanics involving trucks and trailers.
  • Ability to operate the vehicle safely.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong work ethic, teamwork skills, and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Creative problem solving skills, and the ability to resolve issues and provide solutions
  • Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
