Job description

Triad Engineering, Inc. has an immediate need for a Practice Leader to manage our QC/Construction group in our Monroeville, PA office.

DUTIES

Responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for day to day coordination of QC department work, including supervision and scheduling of technicians
  • Receive and execute assignments upon verbal and/or written instruction from the Practice Leader
  • Schedule / allocate vehicles and equipment
  • Repair, maintain and calibrate equipment
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors and office professional staff, and resolve issues and concerns
  • Provides input regarding QC staff performance to Practice Leader for evaluation purposes
  • Monitor the skills, licensing and certification of department employees
  • Maintain quality and accuracy standards within the department
  • Strive for department profitability
  • Participate in business development
  • Provide technical advice to staff as necessary
  • May assist in monitoring field work budgets
  • May assist in monitoring billable hours and revenue per FTE
  • Implement training programs as needed
  • Evaluate new technology and products relevant to the department's operations
  • Assist Practice Leader and other Senior staff in proposal development, project set-up, invoicing and report review

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary education or other training in construction / engineering technology strongly encouraged. Relevant experience and training may be substituted for formal education.
• 8 years of progressively responsible work experience in QC / Construction services.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Other Requirements:

• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments

The employee may occasionally be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry field equipment weighing up to 60 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Work is performed under all weather conditions, often on construction sites or in difficult terrain, and sometimes involves extensive standing and walking.
