Position Summary
Tri-County International Trucks is seeking a dependable and motivated Lube Service Technician to join our service team. This entry-level position plays a key role in maintaining the performance and safety of commercial trucks by performing routine maintenance and inspections. This position reports directly to the Service Manager.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
  • Inspect vehicles for additional service needs and report findings to service advisors or technicians
  • Check and maintain tire pressure, battery levels, and other basic vehicle systems
  • Grease fittings and lubricate moving parts as required
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Assist senior technicians as needed
  • Pre-Deliver new trucks

Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must possess a valid state certification, or obtain and maintain a training permit if certification is not yet held
  • Previous automotive or diesel service experience is a plus, but not required
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Necessary tools (minimum tool list will be provided)

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Qualifications
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications
  • Prior experience working with commercial trucks or diesel engines
  • Familiarity with shop equipment and diagnostic tools
