Job description

We are a wellestablished and highly respected General Contracting Company seeking an experienced Traveling Field Safety Coordinator with a strong background in construction safety to support our growing operations throughout the California and beyond. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and skilled in managing administrative and fieldbased responsibilities while thriving in fastpaced, multitrade commercial construction environments. POSTION SUMMARY

The Field Safety Coordinator supports Tri State's"Safety First, Family Always"culture by providing safety oversight across all jobsites in California, Hawaii, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, and Colorado. This role requires strong,hands-on construction safety experienceand a deep understanding of the unique hazards found in multitrade commercial construction environments. The Coordinator works directly with the Safety & Compliance Team, General Superintendents, Field Superintendents, Project Managers, Subcontractors, and their employees to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient field operations. Position includes frequent traveling, regular work in active construction environments, as well as in office work at Corporate Headquarters in Escondido, CA.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Include but not limited to:

  • Support Week Zero jobsite setup (compliance, pre-construction meetings, etc.).
  • Perform routine job-site safety inspections and hazard assessments (both physical and virtual).
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, OSHA regulations, client requirements, and SWPPP.
  • Support and deliver field training (LOTO, Fall Protection, HazMat, etc.).
  • Assist with incident response, documentation, and root-cause.
  • Maintain accurate safety records and digital compliance.
  • Participate in Superintendent meetings, toolbox talks, and Safety Champions Program activities.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years' experience in construction safety, required.
  • Strong field-based safety background in commercial or industrial construction, strongly preferred
  • OSHA 30 Certificate (or OSHA 10 with plan to upgrade)
  • CPR/First Aid/AED, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and multi-trade commercial construction environments.
  • Effective communication, documentation accuracy, and strong teamwork mindset.
  • Skills with Microsoft Office 365, Word, Excel, Share Point.
