POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a CDL A or B Driver with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements to safely deliver chemical products to customers throughout the Tri-State area. This role includes operating a variety of commercial vehicles, unloading and transferring chemicals at customer sites, and supporting warehouse operations such as forklift operation, inventory management, and loading/unloading trucks. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, customer-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This individual will report directly to the production supervisor.

  • This position will require a qualified individual to operate the following equipment: curtain van, tractor with 53ft. van trailer, 26ft box truck with a lift gate.

  • The curtain van will be used to transport IBCs (250g and 330g totes) to the customer's location, where they will then be pumped off, via diaphragm pump, into the customer's storage tank. This is 100% hazmat material that is being pumped.

  • The 500g barrels will be transported to make bulk liquid deliveries. These deliveries are 100% hazmat, either 50% sodium hydroxide or a sodium hydroxide blend.

  • The van trailer and box truck are used to deliver both hazmat and non-hazmat materials.

  • PPE must be worn at all times when handling hazmat material.

  • This is not solely a driving position as there will be warehouse duties as well, including forklift operation, inventory management, truck loading and unloading, and other additional duties as assigned. Once at the client site, the Driver will pump the chemicals into the customer's storage tanks.

  • Drivers will deliver to customers within the Tri-State area including the 5 NYC boroughs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have CDL (A or B) with hazmat and tanker endorsements, updated medical card to be considered.

  • Individuals must have a clean driving record and be very skilled at maneuvering and operating all the pieces of equipment listed above.

  • 2 - 5 years of driving experience.

  • This individual must be able to hit the ground running and be a great self-starter.

  • Must have great customer service skills

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds or more.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent.

OTHER INFORMATION:

  • Full Time - 2 hours of OT a day

  • Start Time: 6:00 AM

  • Health benefits, PTO, holiday pay, and 401K match, bi-weekly pay

  • Drivers will have 8 stops a day and be home at night.

  • Pay Range: $24 - 28/HR.
