Shipping & Receiving Clerk

8-5 monday - friday
San Antonio, TX

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily sample handling and logistics operations in a fast-paced laboratory environment. This position involves shipping/receiving support, clerical assistance, material handling, and maintaining sample organization while following safety procedures.

The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, comfortable with physical work, and able to follow instructions while working independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble boxes and load/unload deliveries from trucks
  • Assist clerks with sample preparation for login and processing areas
  • Break down boxes and transport materials to the box compactor machine
  • Assemble sample kits for survey projects
  • Store samples in cold storage boxes
  • Wash aluminum containers using an automated can washer
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow written and verbal instructions while supporting daily operations

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Clerical experience required
Shipping & Receiving experience preferred, but not required
Valid Texas Driver’s License required
✔ Ability to work independently and efficiently in a team environment
✔ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Load, unload, and move samples as needed
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. (assisted)
  • Required to drive company vehicles on grounds
  • Steel-toed shoes required
