Job description

Treehouse Learning Center is looking for a caring, energetic, and dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our team at our 200 Oxford location. In this role, you will support lead teachers in delivering high-quality early education experiences, helping children learn, grow, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key responsibilities
  • Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily lesson activities and routines
  • Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate learning activities, play, and meals
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment at all times
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's daily progress
  • Support children with special needs and ensure inclusive participation in all activities
  • Follow all childcare regulations, licensing requirements, and center policies
  • Assist with diapering, toileting, feeding, and other personal care needs as required

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required - ability to communicate with children and families in both languages
  • Prior experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must pass a background check and comply with all state licensing requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
