Job description

Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in a clinic-based setting, where your passion for helping children and individuals with developmental disabilities will make a meaningful difference. As an essential member of our behavioral health team, you will implement individualized behavior intervention plans, support skill development, and promote positive behavior change. This role offers an engaging environment dedicated to fostering growth and independence through evidence-based practices like applied behavior analysis (ABA). Your dedication will empower clients to reach their full potential while working alongside a collaborative and supportive team.

Work Location: In personResponsibilities
  • Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to support clients with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities.
  • Collect and analyze data on client progress, behaviors, and skill acquisition to inform treatment adjustments.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, communication, and social skills development.
  • Support clients during therapy sessions by teaching new skills using evidence-based strategies tailored to individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation, treatment records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and update personalized care plans that align with each client’s goals.
  • Foster a positive, engaging environment that encourages learning, independence, and emotional well-being.
  • Ensure all interactions adhere to confidentiality standards and respect client rights as outlined by HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions related to behavioral health, medical terminology, behavior management techniques, and special education practices.
  • Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to support consistent implementation of interventions.
Required Skills
  • Prior experience working directly with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect data accurately and utilize it to guide treatment decisions.
  • Strong teaching skills combined with patience and compassion are vital for success in this role.
  • Previous experience working within special education or behavioral health settings will be considered a plus.
