Job description

Must be able to work all three shifts: Days: 7a-3:15p; Swing: 3p-11:15p; Grave: 11p-7:15a
Summary: Maintain and operate plant Refrigeration, Boiler, and Utility supply equipment including piping and pumps to minimize downtime. Interact with plant management to enhance operation of equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Other duties may be assigned. All of the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices. It is the responsibility of every employee at Tree Top Inc. to report food safety and food quality problems or risks to personnel with the authority to initiate action against these said possible risks. The Organization chart indicated key personnel with the authority to take action.

  • Maintenance, repairs and PM's of all boilers, air compressors, and cooling towers with minimal supervision.
  • Monitor, add, and make adjustments to the chemicals.
  • Understand and comply with PSM requirements.
  • Repair or replace pumps, motors and steam piping.
  • Minimize downtime and improve line efficiency through accepted Refrigeration and Steam Plant operating procedures.
  • Work with the Frost Byte control system on refrigeration and ignition control for boiler system.
  • Daily rounds of boiler and refrigeration system.
  • Utilize Work Order system for required repairs and tasks.
  • Replace belts, bearings, and filters.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma preferred; General Education Degree (GED) required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Ability to speak effectively with co-workers and supervisors.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR OTHER:
  • Must have a Journeyman Certification or four years' experience in Refrigeration.
  • Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification.

Salary Range: $28.5061 to $37.7479/hr. depending on qualification
