Job description

Southern Botanical is looking for a Tree Care Climber that has a passion for service, safety and exceeding expectations. As a Climber team member you will primarily climb trees to perform pruning and removals.

  • Do you have experience with tree climbing, hazard tree evaluation, and best practices?

Responsibilities

  • Able to climb trees as needed to perform pruning and removal
  • Coordinates with Crew Leader to determine job flow and technical assignments
  • Responsible for maintaining equipment necessary to perform work
  • Removes brush and debris from ground, ensures general property clean up
  • Directs all personnel working within drop zone below
  • Knowledgeable on proper lowering techniques
  • Awareness of surroundings to avoid property damage
  • General knowledge of air-and power-tools, compressors, and chainsaws
  • Coordinates with partner to chip brush as necessary
  • Assists other climbers with equipment and roping techniques
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year experience with Tree Climbing
  • Knowledge of ANSI A300 pruning techniques
  • Physical ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs and move with ease around a work site
  • Able to work in all weather conditions and terrains
  • Ability to perform in a team environment
  • Able to properly and safely use equipment
