Job Title: TREE ROOM BACK SERVER
Department: F&B
Rate of Pay: $5.00/Hour + Tips
Shift: Variable shifts Monday through Sunday
4:00 PM until 11:00 PM (approximately)
Part-Time, Year Round position
MUST BE AVAILABLE WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly
SUMMARY
Greet and interact with guests as part of a service team to create a memorable experience for the guest by exhibiting remarkable personal skills and providing exceptional service in a casual and professional environment. Primary duty is to assist and support the server, ensuring that the server remains on the floor at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Warmly greet each Tree Room guest.
  • Create a positive experience for each guest.
  • Responsible for water and bread service.
  • Ensure proper sequence of service for all guests.
  • Responsible for setting the dining room; clearing and resetting tables.
  • Assist in the service and clearing of food courses as directed by server.
  • Stock service stations and bussing trays.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and compliance of Utah Liquor laws.
  • Exhibit job and product knowledge sufficient to provide guest with accurate information in all aspects of food, service, and resort information.
  • Exhibit self-confidence to the degree necessary to handle a variety of situations in a positive and professional manner.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude when speaking about guests, fellow employees and management.
  • Complete cleaning and closing responsibilities as directed by captains and management.
  • Support recycling program.
  • Perform assigned opening and closing side work.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Three months related experience and/or training. No prior food service experience necessary. Must have considerable schedule flexibility. Must have high personal cleanliness standards.
  • Some prior food service experience in a full service restaurant and service of wine, liquors and beer preferred.
  • Point of sales experience. Prior experience with Toast, or equivalent P.O.S. system preferred.
  • Must possess or obtain a valid food handlers permit within 30 days of employment.
  • Must possess or obtain a valid alcohol service permit within 30 days of employment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
